The Club Handicap

On the first Tuesday of each month between October and April, all members are encouraged to run a circa 5.4 mile route on a handicapped basis in place of a normal Tuesday night training run.  

Handicaps are adjusted to take into consideration the different ability levels of different runners and factors such as state of fitness or proximity to having completed other events.

It is meant to be both a social activity but also give members the opportunity to measure progress over time completing the same course.

The route is quite hilly taking runners via Street Lane and past Denby Pottery and to add further interest the course is run in opposite directions in alternate months.
